Convert .htaccess rewrite rules to web.config

You can use the Import Rules function in IIS to import rewrite rules coding from .htaccess file to web.config file.
You will need to install the IIS component URL Rewrite to use the tool.
 
Web.config the settings and configuration file reconizeged by Windows IIS web server.
.htaccess the directory-level configuration file reconizeged Linux Apache Web Application.
 
1. Open up IIS in Windows and click onto the icon URL Rewrite.
2. Under the Actions panel on the right hand side, click onto Import Rules.
3. Browse the .htaccess configuration file or type in the .htaccess rewrite rules in the textbox.
4. The result will appear in the Converted Rules section, click XML View and copy paste the code into your web.config file between the tag <system.webServer>.
 
Disclaimer: The URL Rewrite tool by IIS Manager gives you suggested web.config rules. It is not a one-to-one conversion, it is for recommendation purpose and you need to test these rules in a development environment.
