IP Address blocked by Autoban

Autoban is a security feature provided by the mail server for Windows-based hosting.
The purpose of autoban is to block IP addresses that perform brute force login attempts on the mail server.
Normally, hackers will try to access email users password by guessing their password during the attempts.

Autoban will perform blocking on the user's public IP address instead of individual email account.
If your IP address gets blocked by autoban, all email users who are connected to the same network/internet line will also be facing issue to access email.

Legit email users may also be blocked by autoban due to the following reasons:

1. Invalid username - Does not configure the correct username in the email software/mobile devices.
2. Invalid password - Configured the incorrect/outdated email password in the devices.

Therefore, to avoid being blocked by autoban, you may take the following actions.

1. Ensure that you have configured the correct username in the email software/mobile devices in use. Username should always be your full email address.
2. Configure the correct password in all devices. You may try to login to the webmail to check if the current password that you have is valid.

If you suspect that you are blocked by autoban, you may visit the link below to check and remove the blocking.
