Email Configuration Recommendations

There are two protocols that is frequently in use to retrieve email contents, which is POP3 and IMAP.
POP3 downloads email contents from the mail server to local computer, then deletes them from the server. It is a preferred option for users who wish to optimize their mailbox.

If you need to check email from multiple devices such as mobile phone and tablets, you may configure your email account as IMAP.
IMAP protocol will synchronize the email contents between the mail servers and your devices.

IMAP is a better option if you wish to synchronize email contents across multiple devices.
However, it is not recommended to configure too many devices with the same email account using IMAP setting.
This is because it will use up the network resource while synchronizing the accounts across all devices.

If multiple users require to access the same email account, we recommend user to use a ticketing system instead of IMAP configuration.
Ticketing system is a web-based platform that provides better management of users enquiry, as multiple users may access the system at the same time.
All email replies will be shown clearly in the system as well.
