Why Email Falls into Junk/Spam Category

Every mail server may apply different spam filtering mechanism to filter out junk mails from legit ones.
On some cases, legit mails may also fall into spam folder in your email application due to the following reasons.

1. Poor IP address reputation - The sender's mail sending IP address' reputation is poor due to spamming history. The spamming activity may not come from the sender himself, but it may originate from other users sharing the same server/network with him
2. Email contains too many links - An email containing too many links will fall into junk/spam folder
3. Spam-trigger words - The email content may contain spammy words such as "order", "winner", etc., that may trigger the spam filtering mechanism, hence detect the mail as spam
4. Suspicious email attachment - Email may fall into spam folder if the antivirus application detected suspicious attachment in the mail

To avoid mails from being filtered, users may consider to disable the automatic filtering on the email application.
Besides, they may also consider to add the sender's address into the safe senders list.

Senders will also need to ensure that their mail server IP reputation is good, and try to avoid spam-triggering words.
