.sg is the country-code domain for Singapore.
General domain registration requirement:
1. Domain name must be between 2 to 63 characters.
2. Domain admin contact must have local presence (i.e Singapore address and contact number) with valid Singpass ID.
3. If you do not have local presence with valid Singpass ID, a proxy service is required.
Domain Admin Contact Requirement:
1. Singpass information (Full Name and Number).
2. Email address of the Singpass owner.
Domain Registration Requirement:
• .sg
- Registrant can be either individuals or organizations from any country
- Admin contact must have a local presence with valid Singpass
• .com.sg
- Registrant must be either registered with the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), IE Singapore or any professional body in Singapore
- Foreign companies can register .com.sg domain, but admin contact must have a local presence with valid Singpass
Why valid Singpass is required for .sg registration?
Admin contact must login to the SGNIC's VerifiedID@SG & RegistryLock Portal with the Singpass ID to verify the domain.
Verification must be completed within 21 days from the domain's registration date.
Failure to complete the verification process will result in domain suspension and may affect the renewal process.
