Installing open-source web application such as Joomla, WordPress and more...

 

Open source scripts such as Joomla, WordPress, OpenCart, Drupal and many more can be easily installed on a Windows shared hosting server using the same method.

Please follow the steps below to begin the installation.
1. Download the package file from the internet and unzip the file onto your local computer.
2. Upload the files to your web directory "wwwroot" via FTP using FileZilla or any other method that you prefer.
3. Log in to your hosting control panel. (EG. http://cp.yourdomain.com).
4. Change the folder permission at File Manager to allow read and write to the web folder "wwwroot".
5. Create new database either MySQL or MSSQL depending on the requirement of your script.

Joomla, WordPress, Drupal uses MySQL

6. Visit your website to begin the installation.
7. During the configuration steps, you will be required to fill in your database information:

Database Name: [NAME OF DATABASE]
Username: [YOUR MySQL USERNAME]
Password: [YOUR MySQL PASSWORD]
Database Host for MySQL: localhost:3366
Database Host for MSSQL: [MSSQL DATABASE IP],1466


8. Follow any specific instructions that is required to complete the installation.

* Replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.

Note: You can obtain your MSSQL database IP from the Welcome Email that we send to you when you first sign up your hosting plan.
