Understanding your Server Release Letter (VPS & Dedicated Hosting)

After your server is provisioned, you will receive a Server Release Letter containing the technical details required to access and manage your server.
The exact contents may vary depending on:

  • Whether the server is Self-Managed or Fully-Managed
  • Whether a control panel is preinstalled
  • The selected operating system (Linux or Windows)

1. General Information All Server Customers Receive
Every email will include the following core details:

  • Server ID: Reference number for support and billing
  • Server IP Address: Used to connect to your server and access services
  • Server Specifications: CPU, RAM, storage, and allocated resources
  • Operating System: Linux or Windows version installed
  • Server Management Portal Access: Web-based portal to view your server resources, screen preview, startup, shutdown or restart when needed.

2. If You Purchased a Self-Managed Server
Self-managed servers require you to handle server administration, OS updates, and security.
You will be provided with the root/administrator access (SSH for Linux and Remote Desktop for Windows), these credentials provide full control over your server environment.

3. If Your Server Includes a Preinstalled Control Panel
If you subscribed a server with a hosting control panel, the Server Release Letter will also include:

  • Control panel login URL
  • Webmail, database and nameservers information

Common control panels include:

  • cPanel / WHM (Linux environments)
  • SolidCP (Windows environments)

Typical Next Steps:

  • Log in to the control panel
  • Configure hosting packages or service plans
  • Create customer or domain accounts
  • Set up nameservers and DNS
  • Begin hosting websites on the server

4. If You Purchased a Fully-Managed Server
For fully-managed services, our team maintains the server’s core environment, which may include:

  • Operating system updates
  • Service monitoring
  • Basic security hardening
  • Infrastructure-level support

However, customers are still responsible for:

  • Website content and configuration
  • Application-level management
  • Email accounts creation and data handling (unless otherwise specified)

If you require system-level adjustments, you may contact support team for assistance.
